Kathy Asted has a true passion for helping dental practices and their teams succeed on their own terms. With over 30 years of experience in ownership and management in dentistry, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to each practice. She can help practices create that all-important 1 st impression for their patients that leads to a long-term relationship. She becomes attached to every practice and client she partners with and goes the extra mile to ensure a positive outcome, putting in time and effort that is well beyond expectations. Why Did You Decide to Become a
Practice Management Consultant?

Having managed a family practice for over 20 years and a multi-location pediatric group for almost 10 years, Kathy has plenty of hands-on experience in the daily flow of business and the complexity of staff management within dentistry. She saw that many practices had great people, but not the right systems in place to guarantee success. She eventually decided that by helping dentists and their teams succeed, she could enable them to serve their communities better as well, providing a tremendous benefit for countless people. With her help, she aids practices and doctors to clearly define their career goals, set up ways to achieve those goals, and systematically make progress.

What Are Your
Qualifications?

In addition to her decades of dentistry experience, Kathy also has a certification as a Human Resource Consultant with Bent Ericksen & Associates, a nationally recognized leader in the Dental HR field. She helps practices navigate the tricky minefield of Employment Compliance and is a certified Drake P3 Consultant, using personality assessments to facilitate staff communication, team building, and the successful hiring of team members. Before all this, she graduated with a business degree from the prestigious Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.

Kathy is a member of the Academy of Dental Management Consultants and the Society For Human Resource Management.

Today, Kathy loves speaking to groups such as dental study clubs to coach them on effective management and hiring principles to help teams work better. This allows her to keep her fingers on the pulse of dentistry, helping her adjust her methods based on the latest trends and technology. It also gives her access to vast networking resources, putting her in direct contact with countless dentists, vendors, and firms to keep her on the leading-edge.

What Do You Like to Do
Outside of Work?

Kathy and her husband Paul enjoy traveling and following their grandchildren in their sporting events. She also loves gardening and reaping the rewards of beautifully blooming flowers.
